Winona State University woman’s soccer team overcame Concordia University St. Paul in a 3-1 win Oct. 18 at Maxwell Field at Verizon Wireless Stadium in Winona, Minn.
Lauren Sturdivant, gave WSU a head start with a score during the first half with Senior Martha Curtiss, assisting.
Concordia’s only score came from a penalty kick by Kim Sauberlich in the first half.
During halftime, WSU honored its senior players and their parents.
Just into the second half, the Warriors pulled ahead when Melissa Sellier scored a goal into an empty net. Senior Bryna Peplinski scored the final goal to secure the win.
