The purpose and intent behind this photograph was to show WSU’s alternate ego. I wanted to show simplicity through a single glass of beer reflected to show WSU’s alternate ego.

Self-Portrait
As an ever growing photographer, I find my inspiration continuing to grow and change. Coming from a family line of photographers and having close friends that share my passion, I find that this growth and change happens to all of us. I find inspiration from the great photographers such as Alfred Eisenstaedt, Berenice Abbott and Edward Weston to the soon to be someday great like Bill Wadman and Vincent Laforet. I find that daily I am inspired by nature, art, architecture, and people. I am passionate about what makes these things who or what they are. I constantly wonder, what caused that twinkle of light in their eye, what secrets are hiding being a closed door, what stories does this old building have to share, what defines this person, what does this object look like in a foreign place, etc. I want to try to capture these questions. I have learned that exploring your inspiration and passions creates growth. Whether it is with my photograph or design, I have learned that the more you explore the better you become.
